Five generations in the underground construction industry. . .

The tradition began with Alfonse Scully, our great grandfather, who in the 1930's, began working as a laborer for a Chicago sewer contractor.  His son, John, followed in his footsteps establishing our first family owned underground construction company-John M. Scully, in the late 1940's.  Most of their work centered in the city of Chicago and the newly incorporated Village of Norridge.  In the early 50's John William, our father, joined Grandpa in the family business.  Underground construction evidently flowed through our veins, because as soon as they were old enough, the fourth generation of Scully boys continued this legacy and began working in the field.

After our father's death, our mother Joan, took on a more active role in the business while encouraging her children's interest in the industry.  In 1997, we began the newest phase in the family underground construction business by establishing our company appropriately named Scully, Inc.  Tim's son Anthony, now the fifth generation, will bring his Construction Engineering Degree to the company when he begins to work for Scully Inc full time later this year.

We are proud to uphold the reputation that the Scully name represents in the underground construction industry.
